WAXHAW ELEMENTARY SPIRIT ROCK
Celebrate your child's birthday or send a positive shout-out by reserving our spirit rock.
There are two steps to complete your reservation:
- Use the sign-up sheet to select a date to reserve the spirit rock.
- Then finish your reservation by submitting the payment form. (Payments are accepted online or via cash to your child's teacher. Form submission is required regardless of which payment type you choose.)
*Failure to complete both steps at the time of reservation will result in your date not being reserved.
Please adhere to the guidelines below:
- The Spirit Rock will be reserved through wxespto.ptoboard.com ONLY. Signups are on a first come first serve basis.
- While we wish everyone would be able to get their child's actual birthday or other special day, that may not always be an option. Please do not contact the PTO if you were not able to get your preferred date.
- The Spirit Rock is rented for $10 a day. Payment is due at the time of reservation if paying online or within 3 business days if sending cash into your child's teacher. Reservation fee is non-refundable after 3 business days of initial receipt of payment.
- The reservation is for one school day starting at 4:00 p.m. on the night prior to the sign-up date. (Example: If you sign up for August 25th, then you may decorate the rock starting at 4:00 pm on August 24th; and the person that has August 26th can start painting at 4:00 pm on August 25th.)
- The best paint to use is spray paint. Don't worry about getting expensive paint as the cheap stuff works great! Remember, latex paint or paint that is rolled on will take longer to dry. Do not ever paint on any surface but the rock.
- In order to allow everyone a chance to paint the rock, no more than two consecutive days will be allowed.
